Iain Bradley

Iain Bradley heads up the Data Modernisation within DfE.  There, he is responsible for the delivery of Compare School Performance (“performance tables”) and Analyse School Performance. His area also owns the National Pupil Database, and is developing the solutions to modernise how data collections are completed. He has also spent 3 years as  Chair of Governor at an infant school in Sheffield, where he has had to be a customer of his own services as well as build an awareness of the other data tools that are used across the sector associated with performance and improvement. Prior to joining DfE, Iain also worked as an analyst in the NHS and Department for Work and Pensions.

  • Outlining the development of DfE’s school performance tables and assessing how they can be used to support benchmarking, forecasting and impact measurement within a school
  • Analysing the future trends and opportunities for schools in using data to deliver educational improvement
